Coming soon: five days inside my refinishing shop, live.

Give me up to 90 minutes a day for five days, and I’ll show you the professional refinishing process I’ve spent more than 20 years learning. Real furniture, real damage, real repairs, taught live from inside Moore’s Refinishing in Garden Grove, CA, with live Q&A at the end of every session.

This isn’t a prerecorded course. You’ll watch the actual process, tools and materials I use on customer pieces every day.

Join the waitlist to be first to hear about dates and enrollment. It’s free and there’s no commitment.

What you’ll learn

Day 1: Stripping. Get the old finish off without destroying the piece. Tools and materials, PPE and safe handling, Benco B-4 gel vs. B-7 liquid and when to use each, and stripping flat surfaces, curves, carvings and ornate details. Then washing and cleanup so it’s truly ready to sand.

Day 2: Sanding + Surface Prep. Remove the damage without sanding away what you’re trying to save. Sanders and abrasives, the grits I actually use and why, flat and contoured surfaces, a SurfPrep demo, hand sanding, ironing out dents, and epoxy vs. traditional wood filler.

Day 3: Repair Day. Save pieces other people would give up on. Veneer bubbles and loose veneer, patches and replacement veneer, edge banding, epoxy repairs, glue selection, loose joints and chair-frame glue-ups. You’ll see the whole thing: damage, diagnosis, repair, result.

Day 4: The Flawless Finish. What separates “okay” from ready for a professional finish. My multi-step final sanding method, what happens when stain hits poorly prepped wood and how to prevent it, how to choose between poly, lacquer, shellac and varnish, and a live demo of the Mohawk lacquer system I use professionally.

Day 5: Touch-Up + Toning. Make the repair disappear. My full touch-up kit: Blendal powders and sticks, stain pens and Mohawk aerosol toners, plus when NOT to use each one. Then color matching, blending and toning on real repairs, including how I hide sanded-through veneer.

How it works

  • 5 live sessions, streamed from inside my shop

  • Up to 90 minutes a day, never stretched just to fill time

  • Live Q&A at the end of every session

  • Real customer furniture, not staged demo boards

Who it’s for

Hobbyists, side-hustle flippers, furniture builders and shop teams who want to learn the professional process instead of guessing.
